                                    Molasses "Bully" Biscuits
                                     From the kitchen of Sheila Dunn / Double "D" Bulldogs ©

2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 Cup Wheat Germ
1 Egg, plus 1 Yolk
1 Tbs. Molasses
1/2 Cup Ground Kibble (Same as what you normally feed your dog)
4 Tbs. Peanut Oil
1/4 Cup Powdered Milk
Pinch of salt (optional)
Water (see below)


Incorporate all dry ingredients well, cut in oil, set aside. Mix together eggs and molasses, then add liquid mixture to the dry mixture and stir well. Add just enough water to shape into a dough ball.

Roll dough on floured board to a thickness of about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Cut into shapes and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 30 to 35 minutes, remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet.

Makes about 30 to 40 dog biscuits.

                              Peanut Butter Canine Cookies

4 Cups Barley Flour
1/2 Cup Bran Germ
1 Egg, plus 2 yolks
1/4 Cup Ground Kibble (Same as what you normally feed your dog)
4 Tbs. Peanut Oil
1/4 Powdered Goat's Milk
Pinch of salt (optional)
1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
Water (see below)

Mix all dry ingredients together, well. Cut in oil and peanut butter, set aside. Beat eggs then add to dry mixture and stir well. Add just enough water to shape into a stiff dough ball.

Roll dough on floured board to a thickness of about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Cut into dog bone shapes and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 40 to 45 minutes, remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet to prevent breakage when still warm.

Make about 25 to 35 dog biscuits.
